How to replace the cabin air filter of the Smart Fortwo.

The air filter of the Smart Fortwo model 450 is located inside the trunk under the carpet cover. To replace the filter, we need to open the trunk and remove the lower cover. We remove the filter cover by unclipping it, then press down on the top of the filter to remove it. We clean the filter housing and insert the new filter. We reattach the filter box cover and place the carpet cover back. We close the trunk and start the vehicle to check the filter's operation. This procedure should be followed at least once a year.
