Replacement of the Fuel Filter

Replacing the fuel filter is a task that should be done regularly to maintain optimal performance. Open the bonnet and begin unscrewing the hose clamps on the fuel lines. Remove the hoses using pliers to pull them out of their housing. Next, detach the retaining spring from the filter that needs to be removed and empty any fuel contained within. Replace the cartridge after thoroughly cleaning the inside of the filter, then close the cover and replace the rubber gasket before remounting it. Fill the filter with petrol and clean up any spilled fuel to prevent fire hazards.
