In order to replace the fuel filter of the Subaru Outback, you need to completely remove the rear seat cushion so that you can access the underlying components: here you will find the fuel pump protection panel, contained in the tank. By removing this panel, you will be able to slide out the fuel pump and consequently remove the filter, which is inserted inside it. Once the old filter has been removed, you can insert the new one, repositioning it in its seat and reinstalling the pump.
