As seen in this tutorial, replacing the fuel pump in the Subaru Legacy is an extremely simple and quick operation. First, open the bonnet, then remove the indicated fuse, start the engine, and let it stall due to lack of fuel supply.

Next, disconnect the battery, lift the rear bench seat, and open the central cap. At this point, disconnect both the power connector and the two hoses, unscrew the fixing bolts of the ring, and extract the pump from the tank. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
