How to Replace the Rear Shock Absorber on a Subaru Legacy

Before you start, lift the rear end of your Subaru Legacy. Begin by removing the rear wheel by unscrewing the relevant fixing bolts. Next, using a jack, relieve the tension on the shock absorber by raising the base. After that, unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the shock absorber to the hub mount and the chassis, then remove the shock absorber itself. Once you have completed this step, the disassembly will be finished. To fit the new shock absorber on your Subaru Legacy, follow these steps in reverse, and the replacement will be complete.
