The spare tire on the Subaru Ascent is located under the vehicle's floor, in the trunk area. To access it, open the rear trunk and lift the carpet at the base of the trunk: beneath it, there will be a small panel that needs to be removed to loosen the bolt underneath.

Once this bolt is loosened, you can lower the tire from the bottom of the floor. This way, the tire can be used to replace one of the tires installed on the vehicle.
