To replace the rear light bulb on the Subaru Outback, open the tailgate to access the internal part. Here, you will find a protective panel that needs to be removed to access the bulb from the inside: it can now be disconnected from its connector and pulled out of its housing. This will allow you to connect the new replacement part to the connector and insert it back into its housing; then, you can reposition the cover and close the tailgate.
