Start with the rear wheel. Unscrew the outer bolts of the brake caliper, lift it, and remove the brake pads. While you're at it, it's advisable to clean the entire braking area thoroughly. Use a tool to apply pressure and slightly open the brake pistons, as the new pads will obviously be thicker than the old, worn ones. Insert the new pads and close the caliper by refitting the previously removed bolts. Follow the same procedure for the front wheel to carry out this simple but essential maintenance.
