In this video, see how the blind spot monitoring system works on the Suzuki Vitara: it alerts you when a vehicle approaches your car, and when a vehicle is near your car while you are reversing. To function, it uses sensors positioned within the bodywork, which must always be kept clean and free from stickers. The blind spot monitoring system activates a warning light in the wing mirrors when a vehicle approaches from behind and is in your blind spot. You can deactivate this function while the vehicle is stationary by pressing the right selector for 4 seconds, then turning it to "BSW settings", select ON/OFF and press to access the next window, then select the desired change. If this system is deactivated, yellow lights "RCTA OFF" will illuminate, and the parking exit assist system "go ahead" will also be disabled.
