Changing Car Shock Absorbers

Model: Suzuki Grand Vitara MK 1 - Years 1999-2005

If your car has covered more than 100,000 miles, you will definitely need to replace the shock absorbers. They serve to dampen the vehicle's bumps and enhance safety when navigating a bend. Obtain a compressor equipped with a pneumatic gun, a jack, and a spring compressor tool. Raise the left side of the car with the jack and then remove the wheel, ensuring you take off all four bolts that hold it in place. Next, open the bonnet by operating the appropriate lever and remove all four screws positioned above the shock absorber. Then, also remove the two screws located on the half shaft and the one on the stabiliser parallel to the shock absorber. As you will notice, the shock absorber will come away.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
