On the Sym VF3i, you can replace the air filter by opening the under-seat compartment, allowing you to loosen the screws and disconnect the battery terminals: the battery will then need to be removed from its housing, giving access to the components located underneath. Here you will find the cover of the filter box, which should be removed by loosening the fastening screws: once the old filter has been taken out, you can insert the new one into its housing and secure the cover with the screws. Then, reinsert the battery and close the seat.
