Do we want to change the scooter oil? Let's see how to remove the oil filter and how to change the oil itself on a Sym Vf3i scooter. We lock the scooter on the central stand and begin the disassembly of the air filter. We unscrew the locking pin of the container placed under the engine. Let's drain the oil into a container. At the end of the drain we can screw the oil pin. Unscrew the oil filter with a strap wrench if it is a coarse filter, otherwise with a socket wrench if it is a mesh filter. We replace all filters. We top up with the new oil recommended by the manufacturer. We check the engine oil level once the topping up is finished.

Below we will illustrate the steps on how to replace the engine oil and oil filter of the Keeway Cafe Racer 152. First of all we put our motorcycle on the central stand and start warming up the engine for a few minutes; then unscrew the oil vent bolt that we find under the engine, letting it drain into a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the screws of the oil filter cover, removing and replacing the cartridge with the new one; finally unscrew the filler cap and top up with the new engine oil, of the right type.
