Removing the Rear Shock Absorber on Sym Mio

This video shows how to remove and replace the rear suspension on a Sym Mio scooter. First, remove the plastic engine cover and then take off the scooter fairing by unscrewing the fastening screws found on the footboard and the side of the fairing.

Next, use a spanner to undo the upper bolt of the suspension to detach it; also undo the lower anchoring bolt, thus removing the suspension. Finally, replace it with the new one, applying the reverse procedure.
