To dismantle the engine of the Sym GTS 125, you must completely remove the engine from its housing: to do this, you will need to take off the components that hold it in place, such as the underseat compartment and the surrounding fairings. Once the engine is extracted from its housing, you can proceed to unscrew the bolts that secure the cylinder at the top, completely removing it and locating the piston underneath. This piston must be detached from the connecting rod by loosening the retaining ring, which will then give access to the further components underneath.
