The procedure for replacing the timing belt on the Toyota RAV 4 involves lifting the vehicle with a jack or a lift, so that the right front wheel and the inner cover of the corresponding wheel arch can be completely removed. Once these components have been removed, access to the belt located on the left side of the engine block will be obtained: the nuts that secure the pulleys, especially the tensioner pulley nut, will need to be unscrewed. In this way, the tension of the belt will be reduced and it will be possible to remove it, inserting the new replacement piece and verifying that everything works properly.
