Run the engine for several minutes so that the circulating oil warms up and thus becomes less viscous: this will favor its subsequent leakage. Unscrew the bolt located under the motorcycle and which acts as a plug for the engine oil drain hole. Collect the used lubricant in a container (and dispose of it properly). Unscrew the oil filter and take it out (the filter will also lose some lubricant while you take it out). The filling hole is located on the right side of the bike (see video): unscrew the cap and insert the same amount of poured oil using the 10W-40.

How to change the engine oil of Derbi Fds

Let's find out below the instructions on how to carry out the routine maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and the oil filter, of the Derbi Fds. First of all, we put the stand on our bike and start to drain the engine oil, unscrewing the vent bolt that we find under the engine; let the old oil drain in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the filler cap and carry out the new top up; we use the oil with the right characteristics, finally checking the oil level using the dipstick!
