Replacing Front Bulbs on Triumph Bonneville

Model: Triumph Bonneville
Part: Headlight

Video tutorial

Remove all the screws around the round headlamp that hold the centre together, acting as a joint between the front and rear of the unit. Now, with a bit of force, the front part should detach: disconnect the central connector by pressing the two clips, then remove the dust cover as shown in the video.

Finally, disconnect the small lower connector. Lift the metal clip that secures the connector to the headlamp, remove it, and you can finally extract the bulb connector duo. Now disconnect the bulb and insert the new one, then reassemble everything.

An Affordable Modification to Solve a Problem on the Yamaha MT07

This video shows how to solve a problem affecting the Yamaha MT07 with a very affordable modification. This bike requires a specific movement of the throttle grip to accelerate, which forces the right wrist into an unnatural twist. You can remedy this by fitting the throttle control from the R6, which reduces the rotation from 90° to 45°; the cost is under £25 even when buying the original part directly from the dealership. As shown, the disassembly and reassembly work is extremely simple; just be careful not to let the throttle guide slip, as it has its seat directly in the cover. You can see the difference in hand position after replacing the grip.
