What does it mean when sludge forms in the motor oil

What does it mean when we open the oil cap and find a disgusting sludge inside? It is a bad sign, because it could indicate a crack in the cylinder head gasket, causing coolant to mix with oil, creating this emulsion, leading it to the head and then also to the sump; but it is not always the case: another hypothesis is that this emulsion can be created if we use our car very little, and do not give it time to warm up. This creates condensation that mixes with the oil, resulting in this unpleasant outcome. Another reason could be using the wrong viscosity of oil during maintenance.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
