How to Recharge Your Car's Air Conditioning at Home

In this video, we will see how to recharge the air conditioning gas in your car by yourself. First, you need to obtain the kit, which can be found on cool5.eu with the code r1234yf; you will also need a pressure gauge, gloves, and protective glasses. Start the car and turn on the A/C to maximum power (minimum temperature, fan on maximum). Open the bonnet and locate the A/C service valves: the LOW pressure valve is smaller and is usually found on the thicker pipe, on the passenger side. Do not touch the HIGH pressure valve, which is dangerous for DIY recharges. Clean the LOW valve with a cloth, remove the cap, and connect the canister fitting. Shake the canister 3 to 4 times and hold it upside down during use. This way, you will inject the liquid gas, not vapour. Open the canister valve and monitor the pressure gauge (it should remain between 25 and 45 PSI; if it exceeds 50, stop immediately). It will take 5 to 10 minutes; close the canister valve and disconnect the fitting, replace the cap on the LOW valve, turn off the A/C, and check that the air is cold and consistent. Do not use generic refrigerants that could damage the system; if the gauge does not rise, there may be a leak in the system; never exceed the maximum pressure.
