"HS" means High Speed, indicating that the fuse is quick to interrupt the circuit in case of overcurrent; it is used in applications where immediate protection is required, such as in circuits with sensitive components (precision electronics or semiconductors). In other standards, they may be marked as FF (very fast acting) or F (fast). "SH" means Slow High Breaking Capacity, indicating a slow fuse but with a high capacity to interrupt high currents; it withstands brief overloads without blowing (useful for motors or transformers, where starting currents are high but temporary). In other standards, they may be referred to as "T" (Time delay) or Slow Blow.
