In other standards, they may be marked as FF (very fast acting) or F (fast). "SH" means Slow High Breaking Capacity, indicating a slow fuse but with a high capacity to interrupt high currents; it withstands brief overloads without blowing (useful for motors or transformers, where starting currents are high but temporary). In other standards, they may be referred to as "T" (Time delay) or Slow Blow.
