Tyre Pressure: Why Not to Follow the Number on the Tyre

The video explains a common mistake: The pressure printed on the sidewall of the tyre (for example, 44 PSI/3.0 Bar) is NOT the pressure to inflate it. That number indicates the maximum pressure the tyre can withstand when fully loaded. Inflating the tyre to the maximum pressure makes driving uncomfortable, causes uneven tyre wear, and is very dangerous! The correct pressure is the one recommended by the Manufacturer, which can be found on the label usually located on the driver's door pillar (on some German vehicles, it may be found inside the fuel flap), and always in the owner's manual. The video also explains the meaning of the codes on the sidewall of the tyre: in the example 245/60/R18, 245 is the width of the tyre in mm; 60 is the aspect ratio, expressed as a percentage of the width (60% of 245); R is the type of construction (radial); 18 is the diameter of the rim expressed in inches; P or LT indicate whether it is for passenger cars (P) or commercial vehicles (LT).

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
