When the particulate filter (FAP) is clogged, certain procedures must be put in place to resolve the problem. In some cases the clogging is such that it is essential to take your vehicle to a workshop for a thorough professional cleaning. In other cases, a procedure will automatically activate which, by raising the engine temperature, will lead to the unlocking of the filter. In this case, when the display indicates the activation of the procedure, it is necessary to keep the engine revolutions between 2000 and 3000, on a road that is sufficiently free to allow the operation to be carried out safely, respecting the rules of the road. In other cases it may be necessary to use specific products; in this video we can see the latter situation: if the automatic release procedure is not successful, pour an activator into the tank, chosen according to your car model and the brand you like. Once the activator is poured in, bring the engine rpm to 3000 for about 10 minutes. At this point the activator should have done its job, cleaning the filter.
