Here is a very simple repair for the sun visor (in this case, it was a Fiat Croma, but the type of repair is suitable for any vehicle) where the retaining support has broken, not the side attachment. The repair consists of this: obtain a long enough (hexagonal head) and thin bolt, thread the inside of the retaining support to that pitch, screw the bolt into the threaded visor that you have prepared, and fit the hexagonal head into the hole from which the support has come away. It does not need to support much weight, so the visor stays in place well. At this point, you can attach it on the other side, and you are done.
