Operation: How do I set up the charging station if I buy an electric car?

The simplest system, if you have a closed garage, is to use the charger that comes with the car. Keep in mind that if you need to increase the car's range by 100 km, using the Manufacturer's charger, you will need 2 kW for 10 hours; provided that no other appliances are being used simultaneously. Remember that for this use, the electrical system must be perfectly up to code, because a load of 2 kW for so many hours "could" cause problems. Alternatively, there is the world of Wall-boxes, which can be portable or fixed: portable ones are convenient but very expensive and tend to wear out quickly. Fixed ones are much more reliable. Wall-boxes start from 3.6 kW and go up to over 11 kW; the choice depends on how far we need to travel: with a 3.6 kW wall-box, we can charge the famous 100 km in 6 hours; with a 7.4 kW, we can charge it in 3 hours. If I want to increase the power even more, I have to switch to a three-phase system and go up to 22 kW, but cars can only receive a maximum of 11 kW, and it takes 2 hours to charge 100 km with 11 kW. So let's also consider how much power our car can receive. A plug-in can receive a maximum of 3.6 kW, so it is pointless to install an 11 kW wall-box. Charging stations can be managed through smartphone applications or online portals, as well as through a home automation system, based on the household's consumption. So the question is: do we need to change the meter? Let's say no, because fixed stations have intelligence that allows charging when the grid is free - and there are incentives for a certain period of time -. But how much do these equipment cost? The portable Wall-box costs around a thousand euros, the simplest fixed one depends on the installed power: it starts from 600/800 euros, and those with a MID screen range from 800 to 2,000 euros.

Where are the fuses of the Volvo FH located?

All the fuses of the Volvo FH are located inside the fuse box located in the vehicle cabin: in order to access the box it will be necessary to unhook the internal fixing clips that block the panel in the upper part of the dashboard, along its entire length. extension. Once this panel has been removed, it will be possible to access the fuses and replace them if necessary: here it will be possible to identify the fuses that take care of the operation of the windshield wipers, the cigarette lighter, the headlights, etc. In the vehicle manual each fuse is indicated with its amperage.
