The BMW remote control contains a battery that powers it and that over time and use, it runs out and needs to be replaced. To do this, we start by removing the emergency key by pressing a button near the key ring. Then, using the emergency key as leverage, we open the compartment that houses the battery. Using a flat-head screwdriver, we remove the old CR 2450 battery and replace it with a new one, making sure to respect the correct positioning. We close the cover by snapping the fastening clips and reinsert the emergency key into its housing to complete the operation.
