In this video, see how to remove petrol that has been mistakenly added to the fuel tank of a diesel car. This is even worse if it is a Ford, which - having the easyfuel system that prevents the petrol nozzle from being inserted into a diesel vehicle (and vice versa) - means it has been forced in, damaging the filler neck. Use a pump to extract the petrol from the tank and transfer it to a container. To do the job properly, however, the tank must be removed and cleaned with diesel to ensure no traces of petrol remain inside. The diesel filter will also need to be changed, and the injectors should be checked for proper operation. Only after these operations can the tank be refitted and reused.
