Disassembly of the power steering rack of the Volkswagen New Beetle

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

In this guide, we will see the instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace the power steering rack of the Volkswagen New Beetle. First of all, we open the front driver's side door and start unscrewing the screws we find on the floor, behind the pedals; we unscrew the screws of the rack, as shown in the video. At this point, we lift the car and remove the front right wheel, disconnecting the hydraulic power steering; we carry out the repair or replacement of the entire power steering, reassembling it correctly. We top up the new hydraulic fluid, checking its operation.
