Volkswagen New Beetle - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle - Years 1998-2005
Part: Steering wheel
Operation: Disassembly of the steering wheel on Volkswagen Beetle

Today we will briefly explain how to remove a steering wheel from the vehicle which, in this case, will be a 2001 Beetle. First of all, remove the steering wheel airbag: to do this, just insert a screwdriver into the side holes behind it (turn it 90 degrees to do better) by pushing the clips that secure the airbag, then disconnect the connector during extraction. Once this is extracted, you will have access to the central bolt of the steering wheel, which fixes the same to the steering column. If other internal parts of the steering wheel disturb you during disassembly, unscrew them. Good job!
