How to remove the driver's side (steering wheel) airbag on Volkswagen New Beetle? Very simple operation if you follow the various steps, we see in this guide how to proceed: insert the screwdriver (medium length) in the rear slots located in the steering wheel and rotate until the clips that hook the airbag are released. Once the airbag has been removed, we disconnect the power supply terminals and extract the same from the steering wheel. To refit the airbag: connect the power supply terminal, then press the same on the steering wheel with our hands, until the locking hooks inside the steering wheel snap.
