How do you replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Transporter?

The timing belt of the Volkswagen Transporter can be replaced by lifting the vehicle so that the right front wheel is not in contact with the ground: once the vehicle has been lifted, the front wheel and the inner lining of the corresponding wheel arch can be removed. At this point, the central nut securing the belt tensioner roller must be loosened, which once removed will allow the belt to be removed from the pulleys: the new belt can now be installed, tensioned and checked to ensure that everything is functioning correctly.
