Learn how to resolve this issue that has kept the sunshade of a YouTuber's Volkswagen Tiguan stuck halfway for months: turn on the ignition and simultaneously press both buttons for the roof (the one to open and the one to close). Hold them for about 15 seconds. At this point, the sunshade will move slightly: this is a signal that the reset is in progress. You can release the buttons. Now press only the "close" button to see if the sunshade closes completely. It should now work without issues. If it does not work, check that the tracks are clean, and remove any dust and debris if necessary.
