The following steps will illustrate how to remove the rear door panel and lock of a Volkswagen Touran. First, open the rear door of the vehicle and begin unscrewing all the fixing screws located on the panel, as well as on the sides and handles; lever it off to detach and remove it, disconnecting the electric window switch connector and the handle cable, as shown in the video.

At this point, you will have access to the internal components of the door, replacing the lock in this case; finally, reassemble the inner door trim!
