To reset the inspection light on a Volkswagen Golf VII, use the "0.0" or "SET" button on the dashboard. With the ignition off, press and hold this button while turning the key to the "ON" position. Continue holding until the service menu appears on the display. At this point, you will see the options "Oil" and "Inspection". To reset the inspection, hold the "0.0" button until the inspection light starts flashing or the reset message appears. Release the button and press it briefly to confirm. The inspection counter will be reset (e.g., 30,000 miles). If you want to reset only the oil change, press the button briefly to select "Oil" and then hold it down. The procedure is simple and takes just a few seconds.
