How to Change the Headlight Beam of a Volkswagen Passat from Right-Hand Drive (RHD) to Left-Hand Drive (LHD)?
Model: Volkswagen Passat
B6, 3C
- Years:
2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010
Video tutorial
The video shows how to adjust the headlight beam of a Volkswagen Passat B6 (2005 to 2010) for left-hand driving. The YouTuber immediately warns that there is no external button or lever: the operation is entirely manual, requiring the headlights to be removed from the car, and it may take a whole day of work. Once the headlight is removed, remove the rear cover and unscrew the four screws that secure the projector. Inside, there is a metal shield (called "reflector" or "shot" in the video) that limits the light beam. On a right-hand drive car, this shield is positioned in a way that illuminates the left side of the road more; on a left-hand drive car, it needs to be rotated or moved to the opposite position to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic. The shield is held by four small clips that need to be released. However, on Passat B6 models with halogen headlights, the official procedure involves an internal lever in the projector module, accessible after removing the rubber cover, which simply needs to be moved from one position to another. There is no need to dismantle the entire headlight or unscrew the projector, as shown in the video. In addition to the mechanical modification, there is the option to use specific stickers (like the Eurolites found on Amazon with code B001P5UVTE for £18.50) to mask the part of the beam that dazzles, a solution accepted in many countries for temporary stays. It is not the ideal solution for a permanent conversion, but it is a valid alternative for a trip.

How to Replace the Battery in a BMW 2 Series Active Tourer?
To replace the battery in a BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, open the hood to access the components in the engine compartment: in the upper right corner, just below the windshield on the driver's side, you will find a panel to remove. The battery is located under this panel and can be removed by loosening the screws that secure it and disconnecting the power cables; this will allow you to connect and install the new battery to ensure everything functions correctly. by ScegliAuto More videos
