Replacing the Battery in a Golf 4

First, switch off the vehicle and open the bonnet. Remove the plastic cover of the battery compartment by pressing on the two side tabs. Next, disconnect the two terminals, starting with the negative one, remove the plastic support, and move the cables to extract the battery, ensuring you have removed the bolt at the base first. Replace the battery and reassemble everything by reversing the disassembly steps (before connecting the cables, clean and grease them to prevent oxidation). Once everything is reassembled, apply the plastic cover, and the job is complete.
