Before starting, open the front bonnet of your Volkswagen Golf. Begin by removing the battery cover. Next, loosen the bolts securing the two terminals, and then disconnect the terminals themselves. At this point, unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the battery support brackets. Once you have completed this step, you can pull out and remove the battery from its housing, and you will have finished the removal. To install the new battery, simply follow these steps in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
