Today we will explain how to replace the battery of the key remote for the Volkswagen Golf IV on your own. To replace the battery, we need to lift the metal key and insert a flat-head screwdriver in the center of the remote so that it can be separated into two parts. Set aside the part of the remote containing the microchip and open the part containing the battery. Replace the battery with the CR 2032 model and close the cover. Assemble the two ends of the remote and reinsert the metal key. Test the functionality of the remote by standing in front of the vehicle.
