Replacing Air Vents on Volkswagen Passat B5-B5.5

Removing the air vents on a Volkswagen Passat B5 is very simple; just insert a plastic wedge into the surrounding gaps and lever them out of their housing. If this method proves difficult, insert another wedge or two into the areas where the vents are stuck (see video) until fully extracted. Once done, disconnect the side cables by pressing the appropriate tab. Fitting the new vents is done in reverse: connect the cables and insert the air vents, ensuring they are securely in place.
