How to reset the engine start warning due to lack of AdBlue on the Volkswagen Tiguan/Passat

To clear the warning indicating the inability to start the engine, proceed as follows: obtain a diagnostic system like "VCDS" and connect it to the vehicle's diagnostic port. Start by turning on the ignition and entering the "engine control" menu, then click on "engine" and subsequently on "basic settings 04". From the dropdown menu, select "reset SCR lock" and click "Ok". Wait for a positive outcome and click "stop". At this point, turn off the ignition and turn it back on. A remaining range of 50 miles will now appear, indicating the need to refuel with AdBlue, and the engine can then be started again.
