How to Change the Battery in the Golf 7 Key

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

In this video, you will see how to change the battery in the Golf 7 key. This operation is very simple and takes about a minute. Take the key and gently slide off the cover located on the back side of the switches. Using a small screwdriver, pry up the edge of the battery and carefully remove it from its housing. Open the new battery packaging and place the battery in its housing. Ensure it is oriented correctly, with the writing facing upwards. Apply slight pressure on the battery to ensure it fits snugly against the electrical contacts. Now, close the plastic cover over the battery.
