How to Properly Use the Volkswagen Taos Navigation System

How to properly use the navigation system of your Volkswagen Taos: With the vehicle parked, press the NAV button and enter the destination. Then, using the search button, input the house number, followed by the street name and the city, or the name of the point of interest. As characters are entered, matches will appear. If you want points of interest or addresses, select them and then press START to begin. You can select nearby points of interest directly from the map, then press START to start navigation, which will show three available routes, with the recommended one highlighted in blue. Tap the estimated time pop-up to choose an alternative route. Dynamic navigation uses real-time traffic information to select routes and offer alternatives. The route selection criteria can be changed by selecting the road settings icon to avoid toll roads, highways, or roads with driving restrictions. During navigation, the route selection can be modified by pressing the menu button and selecting road options. Maps can be moved by pressing and dragging with a finger. Double-tap with one finger to zoom in, tap with two fingers to zoom out, or spread two fingers apart for quick zooming. Tap with two fingers and hold while moving up and down to tilt the map. Rotate the map with two fingers to impose a different direction. To cancel navigation, press the stop button.
