Lock Switch Functionality Check

If the interior lights remain on when you lock the vehicle with the remote key (or directly with the mechanical key), it is likely that a lock is not functioning correctly. Inside the lock, there is a micro switch that signals the comfort module about the lock's status. The failure of this micro switch is a common fault in these vehicles but fortunately easy to repair; it is not necessary to replace the entire lock, just disassemble it and replace the micro switch inside, which can be found at any electronics store.
