How to Reset the Service Light on the Volkswagen Golf V

To reset the service light on the Volkswagen Golf V - after completing the required services - get in the vehicle and close all four doors. Insert the key and keep it in the "zero" position, without turning on the ignition. Press the button to the right of the instrument cluster with the "00" symbol and hold it down while turning the key to position "1", thus turning on the ignition. Release the "00" button. Now press the button to the left of the instrument cluster with the "min" symbol. Release the button. The maintenance interval indicator is now reset.
