How to Change the Key Battery of a Volkswagen Touran

In this short video tutorial, see how to replace the battery (CR2032) of a first-generation Volkswagen Touran key, specifically the model produced from 2010 to 2015. First, press the appropriate release button of the physical key to make it pop out, then insert a small flat screwdriver into the designated slot located inside the key housing; once inserted, turn it to separate the two halves of the remote. Finally, take the lower half of the remote and open it to find the old battery to replace; then replace it and close everything up.
