In more recent cars, such as the Volkswagen, what used to be the cigarette lighter socket has in fact transformed into an auxiliary power socket, which is convenient, for example, for charging a smartphone. But once the ignition is switched off, this socket is no longer powered. To have the possibility of having the socket always powered, a small modification must be made. Open the flap located at the bottom left of the steering wheel and forcing the side walls to release it and we will thus have access to the fuses. We need to locate a 20A yellow fuse on the right, remove it and place it slightly higher up, to the right of a 30A fuse.
