How to Reset the Service Light on the Volkswagen Golf 5

In this guide, follow the steps to deactivate or reset the service light for the service interval on your Volkswagen Golf V. With the ignition off and the key removed, press the trip reset button fully (located far right). While holding the reset button, insert the ignition key and turn on the ignition, waiting for more than two seconds. Release the trip reset button. With the instrument cluster still on, press the button that adjusts the minutes on the clock (marked with M) for more than two seconds. Release the minute adjustment button, turn off the ignition, and remove the key from the ignition switch. Wait for about thirty seconds. At this point, the service light will reset.
