How to Remove the Steering Wheel Airbag on the Volkswagen Lupo

To remove and replace the steering wheel airbag on this car model, follow the instructions and procedure outlined below for a proper replacement. After sitting in the driver's seat, locate the hole at the back of the steering wheel when it is turned 90°. Insert a screwdriver to release the airbag and horn assembly. Perform the same procedure on the other hole directly opposite. This allows you to extract the airbag assembly, then disconnect the yellow connector located at the centre of the steering wheel. You have now completely removed the airbag assembly.
