How do you remove the steering wheel with airbag on a Volkswagen Lupo? This operation is straightforward if you follow the steps. Insert a medium-length screwdriver or bit into the side slots of the steering wheel and undo the securing pins. Once the pins are removed, disconnect the airbag and its power connectors. Use a socket wrench to undo the pins on the steering wheel and extract it from the steering column. For reassembly of the steering wheel: connect the power connector, then insert the steering wheel into the steering column, press it in with your hands until it is fully seated, and tighten the securing pins.
