How to remove the steering wheel and airbag from a Volkswagen Lupo

In this video we can see how to remove the steering wheel and airbag from a Volkswagen Lupo: first of all, it is better to disconnect the negative pole to avoid unpleasant surprises. At the bottom of the steering wheel there are two holes, in which we will insert two flat-head screwdrivers. It may be necessary to remove the lower cover of the steering wheel, removing the Phillips screws, in order to make it possible to insert the two screwdrivers. This will unlock the airbag that we can easily remove, disconnecting the electrical connector and the horn plug. To remove the steering wheel, we will first make a mark with a marker to find the point where to reposition it. Then with the ratchet wrench, we will remove it from its housing.
