How to replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Golf 7?

To replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Golf 7, open the bonnet to access the left side of the engine block: here you will find the timing belt cover, which needs to be removed by loosening the central nut of the tensioner pulley. Once this central nut is removed, you can reduce the tension on the belt and slide it out of its housing: now you can insert the new one, tension it, and check that everything functions correctly.
